​I am a bilingual Canadian entrepreneur, adjunct university instructor, #1 best selling author, workshop leader and executive coach now living in Zhuhai in the heart of Mainland China’s Greater Bay Area including Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Foshan. I am fluent in English and French. I work with managers who want to co-create a culture of positive leadership at every level to reduce the cost of stress, absenteeism and turnover in the workplace and increase employee engagement, effectiveness, and client satisfaction. I am a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a friend, a learner, a teacher, a trusted advisor and a philanthropist.

 

I am a futuristic, strategic maximizer and super learner with a very positive attitude according to the Clifton StrengthsFinder. I have developed unique abilities in entrepreneurship, marketing, filmmaking, storytelling, and leading workshops. I teach what I am passionate about: positive leadership, project management, and personal resilience.

 

Above all else, I value: relationships, possibilities and action in that order; freedom, autonomy and meaningful work; collaboration, teamwork and co-creation; creativity, innovation and experimentation; honesty, integrity and loyalty; continuous learning, curiosity, and having fun; and people, planet and profit in that order.

 

My life purpose is to learn, practice and teach positive leadership in order to be, see and give my very best to my learning communities.

 

I am very grateful for: my exceptional, spiritual, mental and physical health, fitness and positive energy; my deep, meaningful relationships with the woman I love so dearly, my daughters and their laughters, my family, friends and colleagues, my clients, customers and prospects, and my learning teams, learning organizations and learning communities; my amazing lifestyle where my wife and I get to design, co-create and live the life of our dreams … to wake up next to each other every morning, to live our perfect day every day, to get paid for being us, to go on learning adventures all over the world and in our own backyards, and to take mini- retirements at will.

 

The gold medal moments of my career include:

• Reaching and maintaining a 98% overall satisfaction rating for the Project Management Centre of Excellence’s project management workshops.

• Culture shift at Land and Properties, City of Medicine Hat including: building a learning team on strengths and shared values; completing the Royal Roads University’s Master of Arts in Leadership and the Organizational Leadership Project; business model; business plans; policies and procedures; and collaboration with community groups including the Urban Development Institute, the Home Builders Association and the Chamber of Commerce.

• Facilitating the entire Certificate in Project Management at the Medicine Hat College as well as developing and piloting the Certificate in Positive Leadership.

• Leading the culture shift at the Real Property Division’s Strategic Real Estate Services toward: corporate social responsibility (CSR) including: enhanced First Nations engagement built on past successes; partnerships with local governments to create, capture and deliver value at the community level; increased social benefits including education, housing, healthcare and housing; opportunities to model sustainable development and measure success with the triple bottom line.

• Leading multiple workshops in positive leadership, project management, personal resilience, communication and change management through multiple post secondary institutions including Royal Roads University, University of Victoria, Camosun College, University of Northern British Columbia, University of Calgary, and Medicine Hat College.

• Co-authoring the number one bestseller Shine Volume Three: Inspirational Stories of Choosing Success Over Adversity.

• Authoring the upcoming book Resonate to Co-Create: A Transformative Learning Adventure Into Positive Leadership to Design, Co-Create and Live the Life of Your Dreams.

• Founding and leading the corporate start up of DREAM MK + School of Positive Leadership.
